About Broomball
Broomball is just like hockey—but you don’t have to know how to skate to join the fun. For December, all games take place inside our ballroom on a premium synthetic “fake ice” surface. Enjoy a winter sport in total comfort—rain or shine, warm or chilly! This league is co-ed, for players 18 and up. Games are played with 6 people per team (including a goalie), and at least 2 players on the ice must be female at all times.
League Details
Location: Our ballroom, featuring a full synthetic ice rink
Season Dates: Mondays, December 8 – 4 weeks
Times: 5:30 pm, 6:40 pm, 7:50 pm (subject to change; no games past 10:00 pm)
Format: Co-ed, 18 & up, single elimination playoffs
Registration & Fees
Fee: $50 per person (no team size max; minimum 6 players/team, with at least 2 females)
Teams can play with a minimum of 4 players (1 female required)
Registering is a commitment; forfeits incur a fee
$20 referee fee per game (paid day of)

Game Structure & Rules
3 periods (15 minutes each), 2-minute breaks
Overtime and sudden death rules if tied
No skating—rubber-soled shoes or sneakers only
Helmets/protective gear encouraged but not required
Standard broomball rules, no contact, zero tolerance for fighting
Waivers signed before each game
